Curated by CIMBRA, En renta was a pop-up exhibition made possible by a series of favorable circumstances, including an agreement based on trust. The building was available for rent, waiting for its next occupant.

CIMBRA used this interval to invite 32 artists to inhabit the space through works in different media. Their openness and energy were essential to the exhibition's realization.

The exhibition offered an open reflection on how vacant places can be experienced temporarily through aesthetic proposals that interweave objects, images, sounds, and bodies. The works explored themes emerging from the territory and from the private character of the exhibition space.

Together, the artists imagined what it means to activate a building in Oaxaca's historic center that carries layers of history: a colonial house that no longer exists, leaving behind a skeleton of stone, adobe, and brick. These materials and processes invited visitors to feel other times and consider a shared present.
